So you want to be a leader...

I've lived through 20 years of leadership conferences that have yielded so very little impact on culture.

It begs this question: Why so little impact?

I hope this bugs you just enough to prompt you to rethink our current understanding of "leadership."

I invite you to explore these three questions:

1. Could it be that we've focused too much on being a better "leader" for Jesus instead of being a better "follower" of Jesus?

2. How has all this talk of leadership and leadership conferences over the last 20 years advanced Jesus' disciplemaking mission where you live, play, work, and church?

3. What might God do in your life if, instead of trying to be a better "leader," you aspired to be better follower of Jesus?

With whom might you be able to ask these three questions today. I dare you.
